This goes way back though. Even when they're discussing Iijima's death they threw out statements "this death probably wasn't by the same person" and "an accomplice that did it without consent" straight out of their asses and even managed to rule out the "accomplice" theory with some wild...

You know the protragonist in that movie was schizo from the beginning, her life was garbage before the movie even started and she's coping through it. This doesn't apply here because Hikari didn't go through anything before like Ayami. What you're implying to be a good twist in this story...

That's for Hikari's side of the story. Now the author put that on hold and is trying to making us really sympathize with this snake who at some point thought selling herself to old men was a sound plan for something. Solid start if he wanted the audience to hate her even more.
