These are fantastic short stories. Some of them are a little discomforting in how “real” they feel. Given the subject matter, the irony in the title is reminiscent of the film “Happiness.” I wonder if the author has seen it.

@faildog That's a fair distinction. I'm not a musician (just known/roomied with a few) so I'm happy to admit that I don't really know what the correct terminology is. I am, however, a language nerd, so I appreciate the semantic argument 😁

@Simpleton lol, the baseball player. I was in high school in the Seattle area when Ichiro made his American debut, so the name probably sticks out to me even more so.
