Depends upon how you make a tongue-click, frankly. For me, it's more of a "nts" sound, where I form an 'n' with my tongue, then make a 'ts' sound in that position. Others make more of a "ch" sound, in which case your suggestion works. But I haven't seen the チ used in manga for it very often.
