I am enjoying the story but it really does feel like random plot twist keep getting thrown in without much reason.

My only question is why did she just leave a powerful sword with Shy like she let go of the sword for no reason whatsoever. Also if they were gonna do this kind of turn would have been more interesting if Shy had to take the "Evil" sword instead. Could have created a more interesting dynamic.

Tbh this question is super easy especially if you have super powers. Flip the switch and then immediately save the single person. Even if you fail, 1 dead is better than 5 dead no matter how you look at it. This is Fate/Zero all over again.

So all these Amalarieks guys have the power to essentially make a reality marble from Fate. Or I guess more recent example would be the Domain Expansion from Sorcerer Fight.

Something i don't get is why are people arguing about the whole "can't become a functional human being" part, when the real hottake is how Jolyne suddenly thinks she understands her dad cuz she had a flashback and now all of her childhood trauma is magically gone.

I think people are getting the wrong idea, the boot didnt really deflect the meteor, all she needed it to do was to catch fire and burn the Guard's face. As we saw, she still got hit but it just slightly ricochet off the brick in the boot.
