Seems like an axe. this story was a bit too wishy washy on whether it wanted to be an esoteric fairy tale versus a solid lore and logic based magic system. But I still enjoyed it. I liked the earlier chapters that were more dreamlike better

In this story, the reason for their prejudice is religious, as alluded to in the prince's dialogue. Kind of like the mark of Ham being used to justify chattel slavery or any religion with women - doesn't have to be fear, it just needs to make life more convenient for people with more raw power...

He REALLY sucks but it makes for interesting messy drama

She could be Iruma's twin... Maybe she's a distant relative of his (grand aunt or something given the timeline)
