    Your Reason for Living

An interesting premise, but the series just kinda dawdles around for most of its runtime. Despite its short length, I still found myself getting impatient waiting for something to actually happen. Maybe worth a read if you're in the mood for something sad and laid back, but I think that...

    Living Will

Great art, but darker than I expected. I have mixed feelings about the ending, but at least it wasn't rushed and unfinished like so many other yuri manhwa with bad endings end up being. The gorgeous protagonist is the real highlight here, and she does not disappoint. It's nothing mind-blowing...

    You Are My Angela

Good GOD did this manga not go in the direction I expected. Despite its extremely short length, the series manages to be legitimately horrifying in its brutal imagery and themes. I'd recommend going into it blind, but if you're reading the comments then I can imagine you're probably not going to...

    Ikenai Otona

This is a real "in one ear and out the other" series. The total lack of resolution or any meaningful progression killed the whole thing for me. I finished it a couple days ago and I've already forgotten most of it. Wouldn't recommend.

    Itsuka Shinu Shoujo

I was initially skeptical of this series due to its use of the "sad girl yuri" aesthetic (aka copying MLEWL) but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The main story, especially the first half, is admittedly bogged down by traditional sad girl yuri tropes. However, the series went in a bolder...

    Yuki and the Authoress

This was a great series! It was wonderful to see a "yuri seme" character reminiscent of the 00s yuri golden age (e.g. Shizuma from Strawberry Panic!) after all these years without any annoying irony-poisoned subversion of the concept. The main romance was cute, the art style was unique, and the...

    Elixir

long sigh Another promising manhwa dragged down by a rushed and unsatisfying ending. There's a lot to love here and I think it's worth experiencing regardless, but go in being prepared for disappointment. Why does this keep happening? Such a shame. Would semi-recommend.

The Marriage Partner of My Dreams Turned Out to Be... My Female Junior at Work?!

Extremely mid series. One of those uninspired stories that goes in one ear and out the other. I've already forgotten most of what happened in it. Wouldn't recommend.

    Indigo Blue

An excellent 00s series about self-discovery and separating oneself from a heteronormative society. The protagonist is multifaceted, flawed, and messy in a way that feels realistic even if it means her doing stuff that's morally bad. The main romance is great, as is its discussion of lesbian...

Kimi no Tame Dake no Kubiwa

I don't normally drop series, but this one was so cowardly that I couldn't stomach it. A dark premise with very messed up elements gets tossed to the wayside in favor of a generic slice of life romance that ignores all of the questionable elements in a deeply cowardly move. Would NOT recommend.

Your Scent is a Little Sweet

Finally some yuri omegaverse content! While the characters and art aren't much to write home about, the omegaverse setting gives it enough spice to stand out on its own. Main couple has great sexual tension, too. Would recommend.

    Opium

Didn't end up being what I expected and ultimately lacked the bite I was hoping for, but it's still a solid series with great art and a main couple with good chemistry. More of a B tier "good, not great" series, but it's still worth the read for its good elements. Would recommend.

    Immortal Parody

First thing's first: I believe the title of this particular series is Immoral Parody, not Immortal. As for the series itself: oh man, this one was FANTASTIC. Super dark, super fucked up, and super super engaging. The author fit so much juicy drama into four short chapters with gut punch after...

    Hone no Nazuki Made Aisu

Meh. Passable if generic yandere story marred by a twist that takes away what little emotional heft it had in favor of a generic revenge story. The art isn't good enough to warrant reading it for aesthetic reasons, so I'd say there's no real need to read this series. Wouldn't recommend.
  19. yurifanatic94

    Kimi wo Tsumugu

Meh. Basically a poor man's version of "Hana To Uso To Makoto" without that series' strength of being suicidally depressing. I just didn't end up caring about this one when there's a way better version of the same concept that came out 7 years earlier. Wouldn't recommend. Read Hana To Uso To Makoto.

    Outro

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man, this one was JUICY. After a series of lackluster recommendations for so-called "toxic yuri" I was finally able to find one with some actual damn MUSCLE! The instant I finished it I knew it was an A tier series for me, with the only thing potentially keeping it out of S...
