No idea. I'm not familiar with that other story.

There is an Ochazukenori story in the same issue but I don't understand what you mean by "Ring". This issue's work is called 鏡の国のキュルキュル (Squeak-Squeak from the Land of Mirrors) and is about a cute fluffy creature crawling out of a mirror to help a girl fight a mad doctor who likes to vivisect...

If you liked those and for some reason have not yet read Kago's "Sparkle! Greater East-Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere" and, to a lesser extent, "Super-Conductive Brains: Parataxis", you may want to get on that.

Let's see how soon I'll have to edit my description and add warning tags. This is a pretty recent development. It began serialization last November and only 2 chapters are currently out. Hopefully the 3rd one will drop this month!

The sword's name was kind of tough to translate. It is literally called 血身泥. That is not a standard kanji compound whatsoever. Individually, he kanji mean "blood", "flesh" and "mud". Then you have furigana giving the intended reading as チミドロ ("chimidoro" or blood-soaked/drenched/stained). I...

There are two anime OVAs that run 40-45 minutes each. The first one covers the same part of the story as the HK live-action film and is actually pretty good. The second one covers some more of the manga. It's actually on YouTube with English subtitles. Just search for "Riki-Oh 2: Child of...

Either Riki-Oh 2: Child of Destruction (力王 2 滅びの子, 1990) or The Wounded Man (傷追い人, 1988).

If you mean if there's any other site where I post my scanlations, the only other place I occasionally post at are my old stomping grounds over at gurochan. Only completed volumes of the stuff I deem relevant to that site, however, and nothing that isn't already posted here on a...

Great find! I didn't even know these other one-shots existed.

Now that I've finally gone back to Not after, apparently, a 17-year hiatus, I plan to do a few more oneshots inbetween other projects. Seems like another artist where a large bulk of their work was never collected.

True but RANPO AMNESIA also started fairly tame and then had some messed-up stuff in the second arc.

The manga ends with volume 3. This chapter was actually the end as far as the magazine serialization went but Kago added a bonus chapter for the tankoubon, hence the 36a and 36b shenanigans.

You mean at the end? Anyway, nothing's missing. Chapter 34 starts on page 149.

Fixed. Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks for this translation! Hino obviously remade this story a couple years later into UNDERWATER (水の中), which went on to become one of his best known and most often reprinted works.

Pretty good, all things considered. These chapters are a ton of fun and only seem to become more relevant to my (literary) interests as the story progresses. Well, except for the thinnies! The thinnies freaked me the hell out!

Congratulations on and thanks for bringing us another of Nagai's works translated in its entirety!

Newly drawn bonus chapter exclusive to the tankoubon release.

Nice! I was wondering when/if we were getting the second volume!
