Now that the author switched to a magazine that agrees to anything, I wouldn't even be surprised if the manga follows the events of the web novel closely (which is wilder than anything we've seen from the manga so far).

I knew it... Back in the original's run, I theorized that the flower on Mashiro's head is a (physical) plot armor device. And that the petals are the countdown. That getting into trouble after the last petal is gone is a bad scenario to be in. And now there's one on Win's head, too...
