When the chapter started and I saw Zane in chains too, my first thought was "so the dominators are into raping boys too now"? I mean, would you put it past them? And I guess I wasn't entirely wrong since what they are trying to do probably counts as rape too... but now my imagination has been triggered and I can't help but fantasize about what would happen if this new lady dominator had took matters into her own hands, if you know what I mean.

Not the worst fate possible in this awful world tbh.
I'm kinda loosing the plot ngl especially with the series being monthly. I marathon ran jinki, extend, relation and both winvurgas and the timelines are just confusing (including the VN games, ignore the anime(s) genuinely). It also results in Schrodinger's virginity for aoba(black hair) as she looses her "first time" repeatedly throughout all the series: in jinki(shinsetsu), then again in both vn separate times(author also wants to bring a vn character in winvurga which makes no sense?? The one with white hair), then in eden's gritter renge, then in the official jinki doujin(x series) and now people are predicting her to loose her first time again possibly in this series. Maybe extend/relation and winvurga are separate timelines(even though we've seen aoba in winvurga), maybe games not canon and doujins are separate timelines(yet confirmed canon), it just gets kinda ridiculous. These plotholes are kinda expected for a near 20 year old continuous smut manga though I guess and the author is pretty casual with admitting they forget stuff lol.
Idk. I think it'll end with either the world ending, dominators wiped out, or timeline shenanigans returning to Aoba in original jinki timeline and somehow prevents everything that's happened from happening(win may have power to alter past some theorize). I think Win will end up reversing what happened to mashiro whether by timeline stuff or with her healing wand or with some scapegoat(memento memory, fake memories etc) just so she can have her first time and fulfill the whole romance point of the previous series, don't hold out any hope though the author writes blogs on Mashiro having different Dominator babies and mashiro is for sure his favorite character(win is like 3 or 4th i think) so expect mashiro to suffer for awhile before she's likely saved and reverted.
I doubt the ending is anytime soon (especially with it being author moneymaker) and I could for sure see a new jinki series or two before this entire series ends in a decade or so(author for sure wants a win getting taken scene).
With the power scaling rising usually smut mecha manga always end with some universal threat or timeline stuff every time so one of those is my prediction.

At this point, I bet it just keeps going until the title changes again but still in the same(?) universe or alternate universe.
And it ends when the author finally retires.
Liao just said most of Dominators' "current" pilots are people she raised from getting her former allies pregnant...
The chapter confirms they're inside Void Avern.
This probably supports the idea that the babies are taken outside Void Avern and transferred to another Void where time runs much faster so they can grow up fast (from the POV of people inside Avern). If that wasn't the case, Liao should look at least 20 years older than she was in the recap of her defeat because most of the Dominator pilots we've seen so far are adults.

Oh no doubt lol. Author pretty old now so he'll likely end it within a decade assuming no hiatus or cancellations. He's already fought publishers till he was satisfied with young champion giving him free reign(literally just to have Mashiro get banged), which was the whole point of making rebellion (to avoid censorship). While I personally think it's a bad decision story wise to have mashiro banged already I can respect how much he fights censorship. It'd be a bit weird if he cancelled rebellion to reboot under a new name as he's not being censored anymore so no real point.
There's also the hundreds of fan fics he writes on his blog on the entire jinki universe (which aren't canon/different timelines) which I imagine he'll keep writing even after he finally ends this series. But yea absolutely agree it's not ending till he's done which is awhile from now.

Yeah… two the dominators want you to breed for them. So your “rebellion” is to do just that and hope that somehow your offspring 20 years in the future saves Mashiro and saves the day. I mean,… it’s going to work because fiction, but it’s still a stupid plot.
What should have happened , since we are so dead set on having Mashiro get assaulted., is to have her still be the lead character while captured. Show her escape and form an underground resistance in the heart of enemy territory. Now the stakes are higher because we know she can “get caught” again.
Because right now having nothing but flashbacks is making this story move really slow. If you’re going to be doing all these flashbacks to begin with… then why even do the time jump? You could have started the series where winvurga left off.
Edit: technically that’s chapter 39 but we’ve hit a point in this series where sex scenes are like 5 chapters long so it’s really just everything moves at the speed of snail.

What was the point of waiting for them to wake up and explain they're gonna be breeding with each other? Amazed they weren't fully binded in the first place, but it would have been so much easier to breed them when they were passed out rather than waiting for them to fight back. Even if they want them in despair, I think telling them you created a child in your sleep would be good enough mental damage?

But, yeah, his stance on censorship is one thing I respect about the author. I wish people working on horror have as much balls so we're not looking at pages that are 80-90% just black.
But you would be wrong about him no longer being censored. There's still indications in his tweets since starting work on Rebellion that there's still some level of censorships.
1. He tweeted a conversation between him and the editor, with the editor asking him about the age of an unnamed character. The tweet came along with a sketch of Majiko looking surprised. This was tweeted after Majiko already had her fall arc and before Carda (the other Mysidian) was introduced.
2. Another conversation with the editor asking if "this new unnamed character is gonna have H scenes in the future," with the editor instructing him to add more "sex appeal" after he answered "probably...?" Tweet also has the same surprised Majiko sketch. This kind of intervention from the editor is also probably why Mashiro's body suddenly looks more adult during her fall arc.
3. The physical magazines come with colored tapestries at the end of each arc. Some "adult" bookstores literally told him they can't sell the magazines as is because of the included tapestry. The tapestry in question is the colored image of Mashiro in the auction while the mechanical arms are spreading her open. The author ended up editing a white towel over it because the usual Japanese pixelation is apparently not enough for whatever level of detail he originally did with the image.
There’s being anti-censorship…and then there’s the story blatantly getting worse because of it, though. The pacing is just horrible in rebellion. And the constant flashbacks.
Jinrouki winvurga managed to be porn, and a mech fighting manga that moved at a brisk pace and developed many characters at once.
Jinrouki winvurga rebellion…takes forever and has developed no one.
It’s pretty obvious the editors were keeping him on track in the original series. When left to his own devices, he just spirals into power creep and overly long explanations for magical bs.
Heck, even the sex is getting repetitive.

I went back to read the novel chapters on his website and…granted I used Google Translate but there’s only so many times someone can shove something ridiculous into a vagina and have Mashiro go “I’m being defiant” before you realize it’s the same 2 actions over and over and over and over again.
The editors were what made Jinrouki winvurga good to begin with. They stopped the repetition and forced the author to move along to a new scene/action/plot.
For every one creator who was hampered by censorship, there’s a hundred more who really needed someone to stop them from themselves.
Limitations are not the end of the world. Overcoming limitations makes great art. Jaws is awesome specifically because the shark never worked and they had to find another way to show its pretense.

I was commenting on his stance against censorship in general. Not what he does with it in his own series.

Oh I understand. I’m just saying that being anti-censorship in of itself doesn’t make something good or bad.
I know people for some reason love the prequel trilogy now in Star Wars…but George Lucas really needs someone to tell him “no George, that’s stupid” from time to time. Lucas famously hated Empire Strikes Back and thought the director was destroying his vision. And empire is pretty much universally agreed to be the best.
We as a society like to make martyrs out of creatives “sticking it to the man” and being creative for creativity’s sake and what not. But art has always been a compromise in every industry. And for every time a script doctor/executive meddling/whatever ruins a game/book/movie/etc, there’s a bunch of times that interference saved the product. But you never hear about those times in interviews. Those times are just business as usual.
You never hear about the thousands of planes that fly each hour and reach their destination successfully. You only hear about the one that crashed.
Anyway, back to the topic of this manga, yes, I’m dreading the next chapter as well. Also I noticed that silent quill doesn’t have these scans on their website (or didn’t when I saw it up here). Did we switch translators or did someone jump the gun?
