Yay. It’s back. It’s stupid, and it seems like the author makes it up as he goes, but it’s back.

anyway, since win has memory powers now, I expect a crap ton of flashbacks now.

And personally, I’d rather have it not be flashbacks. I’d rather we just started in chronological order. Then there’s a mystery. There’s a hope. Every time Mashiro, or zayn, or whoever, tries to escape or fight back…maybe they do. Maybe they don’t. It’s a cliffhanger. Read the next episode to find out.

But as flashbacks…we already know they didn’t succeed. So we’re just watching stuff that we already know until the next time we see the next flashback, then next flashback, etc.

The only time we have something “new” is going to be when win fights the commander…and even then we know that’s going to go to the commander. We don’t have a chance of a happy ending until we find out all 3 Walters first.

So we’re…basically in a holding pattern for the next 20-30 chapters at least. First we need flashbacks of every previous character. Then we need to lose round 1 to the commander. Then we need to find the 3rd Walter. Then, we have a 2vs1 round 2… and then we maybe get to sonething new thematically
You know, maybe you're actually right to some extent. The previous publication definitely screwed with the author's beat. We know, since he's very vocal against censorship. It's the typical case of "author wants to do something crazy, editor gives the greenlights, author does what he wants, editor gets cold feet midway, author is forced to release half-baked tease and bait content that doesn't commit."

He happens to be that one-in-a-million author that won't submit to that process, but because he had to end the OG JW and go to a different magazine to release the sequel, he probably had to start off the sequel from another POV to make sure no one's complaining he's just bringing the same work elsewhere. His original plan is probably thrown out of the board and he's making the flashbacks as a form of compromise to finish the previous story.

Those petals on Mashiro's head are like plot armor counters that save her from Dominators trying to assault her. Every time she escapes, one petal falls off. But he made Mashiro meet the Supreme Commander, who just went and blasted all the remaining petals off her head. He was probably getting impatient; he had to go on hiatus for a long time before Rebellion was ready to start.

Thanks for the uploads!
But gotta double check on some translations. Like character gender pronouns (people getting genderbent, lol), character names (Hibana has two names in the same chapter), and robot names (Rikuoh's name got translated into its literal meaning in English; I think it should be left in its Japanese state, but that's just my view).
Just small nitpicks, really. Thanks again for the translations.

The series was better with the censorship. It kept the author on track. The mecha battles were more coherent. There was more focus on characterization and growth.

The author, left to his own devices, just falls to magical power creep, and technobabble exposition. There’s tons of “content” but it’s basically when a metal gear solid game in the middle of a fire fight, instead of shooting someone spends an hour explaining how Cobalt Jellyfish was infected by a nanomachine supervirus that targets specifically the spleen to create the ability to shoot ink out of his eyeballs and how now let’s read his entire manifesto of his days as a young mixed race kabuki performer and how being a non-Japanese kid made his life and… did anyone fucking edit this? Did anyone remember we’re currently in the middle of a fire fight? How did you manage to say all this hourlong rant without getting shot yet? None of this fucking matters. This has nothing to do with the pathos or growth of our leads.

I mean I love the porn aspect of rebellion more. It’s all my kinks.

But I’d prefer a better written story/characters between the added kink scenes.

Jinrouki winvurga > Rebellion IMO.

I mean I’m in for the long haul. But holy crap this guy needs an editor. Sometimes you need someone to tell you “no.”

let's not forget Jinki, Jinki:extend, and Jinki:Extend Relation 😭
still waiting on that, since Relation was the same as OG Jinrouki, unless we used Jinki X-3 as a actual continuation of what happened to the girls. cause im still not sure if thats Canon to the Games or the Manga

Nice I never knew this series was managed to continued despite the fine line in working towards it.

I knew right, honestly for once I kinda want to see what would happened when there's just no hold barred when author can just write anything they wanted, even though I know it would be hard with the amount of people involved in producing a series and I especially interested to see what would happened with "no plot armor" situation end up with

I hope this series managed to end properly at least, and I'm looking forward to how "messed" Mashiro end up now and if win managed to recover her heart he heh
