I know right, harms folks who tried to harm Yuma but Hina is merely possessed because Hina never harmed Yuma, brought back Yuma's thrown away plushie...yeah, might be Yuma's actual mom..Ye, ain't no way that's not Yuuma's biological mother.
nigga aint no one reading all that shitI don't know that I'd call Hina's perfect imitation of an owl's subtle, but...
It re-contextualizes what the Dad says on page 10, where he tells Hanichi that he's scared to go down the slide by himself.
He wanted to end it all but was too scared to go through with it even after drowning himself in liquid courage on page 7, so he has his son give him both a literal and metaphorical final push. The paneling in this story is absolutely fantastic with the buildup as the MC climbs each set of stairs up the slide on pages 5-7 interjecting with his reawakening memories to build tension. Also the dichotomy of the use of unorthodox panel borders for the MC's flashbacks with that black vertical hatching effecting bleeding out compared to the clean normal squares of the present action such as on page 9. All combined makes for a simple short story conceptually, but is masterfully executed. Props to the author.
Last page: Aww.... Sure is thoughtful of Hina to help clean up Yuuma's place. I'm sure she's just going to get a broom and a few dust rags.
Me when I have to go do something that requires effortI felt that
Tbh unless it was a very steep slide it would be an agonizing slow deathI did not see that coming at all. Would one even have enough downward force to commit sui-slide??
