Ah, no wonder it felt a bit weird that the first part of the main series just happened in ch 72.

@LordoftheKeep 1st, this is a pretty fun manga. 2nd, while the author was writing the story, he just made a mistake.

@broadsword80 To be fair, it's not that bad though. The point of these stories is just to add "100 days" in the title and to be really short. That's kinda a nice trope actually. Other than that, they are all different. It was a pretty nice trend. And the fact that it wasn't over done is kind of nice.

Other manga troups always get overdone in a short period of time until people don't want them. Sports manga and adventure manga were the biggest victims and now no longer have the height they used to have. Isekai was able to avoid this because it's pretty much just focused in 1 or 2 magazines.

The whole conceit of "100 days until X" killed any sort of tension in the manga. Because I knew that she would collapse from hunger and then become a maid, when it did happen I was like "oh, it happened"

@LordoftheKeep This is literally a prequel, and frankly, most of these plot points are kinda obvious anyways (ex. person a gets with person b, etc.). It's just that these are shorter and more straight to the point. Like a mere 100 pages (give or take).

And these manga were never meant to have tension... these are relaxed stories. They aren't about tension or drama... for crying out loud, it's just a slice of life with her just enjoying her daily life.

It was a simple cute read.

Why would you expect any tension in such a manga? The first chapter was just a cute page of her cooking food. These are like comic strips rather than a story, with each chapter just being a cute mini event that leads up to a conclusion.

I feel like you are just expecting the wrong thing.

It's like going to an ice cream parlor and being mad they aren't selling you a burrito.... these 100 day stories are like Ice Cream. You just enjoy the sweetness while reading a quick comic strip. And each day is a slight different flavor of ice cream.
