The amount of bs, racism, and clichés is almost insufferable. No, those who survived weren't supermen, only lucky/unlucky (depends on how one sees it) who had to suffer from hunger, abuse, and violence. The author could avoid pooping on history. I know this is just a power trip comic but this chap was really distasteful

LOL it is racist dudes, but we don't see Zulu again. The author continues to show a bit of a bias against non japanese and especially non asian fighters, but he gets better about it.

No possible defense here, this is extremely racist. From the fighter backstory to the way the fight ended without forgetting his fighting style/behaviour.

Some people here seem unhappy that others are offended by the racism. "it was 30 years ago!"

A true fan would recognize the author's mistakes and be happy that Oliva wasn't written the same way. You aren't fans, you are babies. @Midoriha @Woodchipper

Oh I recognize Itagaki's racism, but you whining about it does nothing to help the fact that his outdated views were included thirty years ago, and getting upset over it won't change history. It's an embarrassing and shameful part of Baki history, and Itagaki improved.

Furthermore, calling others "babies" and yourself "a true fan" only shows that you're a smug jerk who thinks of himself as better than others. Don't do that.

First, I am not a fan of the Baki series, they are fun but I wouldn't place any of them in my top 5 of martial arts mangas (not even sport manga or manga as a whole 🤣). And surprise, I never called myself a "true fan" that's something you invented to justify yourself by making me an elitist.

Second, I called you a baby because your first and only reaction when I made my comment was this one :

I think it'd be best if you stop reading the manga here and file it under "Dropped". You clearly are still upset at 30 year old racism and misinformation, which taints your enjoyment of the series. Do us all a favor and leave.

So you recognize Itagaki's racism but you are personally offended when someone complains about it.... as if that's not something worth complaining lol. If I discovered that an author described people with the color of my skin that way I would be royally pissed off. This is not acceptance, this is a baby whining that people dare to find something he/she loves racist and speak about it🙄

Dude acknowledgement of flaws or bias in the authors writing doesn't equal hysteria, you're overreacting. You've gotten yourself extremely upset just because we affirmed something any idiot with half a brain already knew.

This is my favorite manga series of all time and even I know Itagaki isn't perfect.
