TL;DR: "Hello, my daddy didn't pay attention to me, so I killed 30 people. This makes him evil."

This has really not been the most persuasive speech of all time...

We finally get to see Jeanist in action. Let's hope he doesn't get one-shot like last time. Trying to get dirt on my boy Hawks is not gonna work. He did what he had to do to protect everyone else.
I hope Toya can still turn back. The Todoroki fmaily has a lot of healing and forgiving to do after this.

Delu did you even read these last two chapters? That's a stupidly surface level interpretation of what he said. I guess you have no idea what abuse does to people. The point is not "dad didn't pay attention", the point is that being abusive and selfish despite calling yourself a hero is peak hypocricy. That leads to the larger problem that Stain's ideology was objecting in regards the hero society. Toya being treated the way he was definitely lead to antisocial tendencies, it's not really hard to understand. It's not a huge leap to killing people who he believed to deserve it. Doesn't make it right but it's not that outlandish

I mean, Dabi is right though, we can't just breeze past Endeavor's long history of mental and physical abuse

And Hawks 100% murdered best boy in cold blood.

Just because Jeanist is alive doesnt somehow discredit everything he has said

And if Hawk didn't kill that dude, how many more heroes would have died during the attack?
You cannot go around asking to not be killed when you actively try to kill someone else. I have no sympathy. Just because you have a shit life does not give you the excuse to ruin others' too.

@udomsa33

it's basically the Batman v Joker situation isn't it?

also, Best Jeanist coming in, if shown publicly could easily heavily Discredit Dabi's words

Revelation and speech itself was dull even if that was spot on as plot hook and backstory. Hypocrisy of hero society is one of the main points for League of Villains exist at first place.
I think info war against heroes is nicely placed and Best Jeanist made that lost momentum in general public. If we speak IRL then there would be several groups of ppl with different degree of doubts against heroes and reliability of Dabi's speech.

It definitely is Batman vs Joker scenario. I suppose that the only irony here is that the term "Hero" should never have been used in the first place. It paints a too black and white picture.
And yes, Best Jeanist appearing can heavily discredit what Dabi said, regardless of whether there's a grain of truth. However doubts have been planted in people's mind. And Endeavour will have to pay the price for what he has done to his family eventually.

The funniest thing is seeing people IRL being swayed by the villains' arguments, but then....I guess we just have to look at how the French Revolution turned into The Reign of Terror, and how every similar, progressive revolution has ended the same. Humanity is definitely capable of following path of "good intentions" all of the way to Hell, over and over and over again, never learning.

Nothing these murderers say will absolve them of guilt. Things not being absolutely perfect just isn't the winning argument that people with excess, misplaced empathy think it is. It just isn't.
