@zenwarrior The word predates the font family by some time, though. A "wingding" is, according to some dictionaries, "a lavish party, festivity". In this particular case it would be the equivalent of "on a whim / for fun".

I initially thought "Wingdings" meant to be unreadable scribbles. Turns out it was correct, lol.

This 'data' is a memory experienced via the architect's system.

This scene is at ch 160.
'Wingdings' here
is used in place of random symbols, and is meant to represent that the speech (of the playback itself) is distorted.

Oh man, you could have just put random symbols or some squiggly lines, wingdings caught me off guard,

It's like when you're cheering for a team but instead of repeating the cheer, you just yell:
"D I T T O!" "D I T T O!" "D I T T O!"
