The authors of these stories keep breaking the spell, you can't order people to fall in love with you... Reality doesn't work that way, and they keep writing their stories and making the FL go against common sense, mental healing from trauma, and natural reactions towards offensive and rude peoples.

ML needs to swallow his entitlement, eat a bakery of humble pie, and try to understand the FL more. He's made a lot of progress since he forced her to join him on this excursion and taken her away from the Doctor.

She came from slavery, was forced into a noble marriage, and was violently thrown back into slavery with the threat of death looming over her head every step of the way to the point she changed her identity.

Now you're pressuring her with that same authority trying to force her to "tell the truth" just like you tried to force her to confess in the first chapter of her crimes to the ML. If she does so, it isn't believable... It rewards the cycle of violence and perpetuates the abuse the ML can get away with by saying "I love you" afterwards.

Author-san needs to empower both of the characters with actual redemption for one or both of them... Worthwhile lives no? Give Chloe a satisfying existence as the adopted daughter of the Doctor perhaps... Removing her slave status.

Put Chloe out of reach of this ML so he's forced to better himself even more so he's not so domineering and cold to female characters. Make his father suffer some sort of anal leakage injury so he stops meddling and compelling his son to take such drastic actions... (lol)

But I'm not an author, I'm just a reader with idea's where I'd like the story to go... I'll read it regardless because its entertaining.
