I have hope for him, the story ended but he's still not dead. It might happen at some point.

Arghhh. Why did they have to end it this way? There's just so much stuff left unshown...

And just no consequences to his rampant disregard for his health

Damm, it's nice to see how the characters developed, but there was literally no consequences here, for anyone ever. No seriously, just that dude in the truck who took the fall for Onizuka, compared to so many who literally went full psycho.

The manga started out pretty good. Onizuka felt oddly relatable, a human being who despite being gangster-like felt far more legit than 99% of peeps out there. Made him feel like a real human bean.

Then onizuka is given superpowers, instantly removing the real human bean quality from him and then he just became an interesting philosophical sack of thoughts.

For a manga that deals with such complex issues, it sucks that it's ending is literally "Everyone lived happily ever after, THE END"

Additionally, there's what i can only assume to be the pervert's agenda, we are continuously led tp believe that blatant disregard for the person is cool as long as you pretend it's cool. No author, sorry, but no matter how much of a cool bean you are, it don't make groping cool.
Literally over 90% of the male characters here are needlessly perverted, most beyond all reason, and we're just supposed to shrug it off as "boyz will be boyz"

Dunno if there's a sequel to this, but i guess this isn't my cup of tea. It's like this manga tries to run contrary to it's themes, but atleast it did leave some good impressions on some things, so i guess i can't say i regret reading, but it def isn't the absolute bonkers masterpiece of the century everyone claims it to be

It was an ok read but in current times this manga would have a lot worse score. Not sure if talking about important things mostly using comedy was good and that sexual harassment all the time. Also kinda giving Onizuka superpowers and letting everyone get almost no consequences no matter what crazy shit they did wasn't helping.

Also i feel like either there were translation errors or author made mistakes but i did see two different age of the studens, once it were saying 14yo and then 16yo and the actions in the manga was supposed to happen in around half a month?

wtf people grading the manga using real life law, this manga is for young adults who are old enough understand and recognize morality. Ya'll mangadex moral police here trying to drag the manga down with shitty check list for what is good and what is not.
The manga has always been supernatural with Onizuka escaping death atleast over hundreds of times from the start, why the hell did it took you that long to see that, did you speed read the whole manga in one day or something?
