I really can’t help but see the type of narcissism that the author is writing here.. The daughter is to be just like her mother and the mother was known to be extremely smart, cold and had a superiority complex, she was not moved by anyone..But now she’s getting attracted to her daughter.. how is that not depiction of narcissism?

i think it's stated early on that ayako is 37- she had asuka at 21.
they were classmates in college which can have people of very different ages in the same class
