Made with wood? Waterwheel seems a bit too fragile. I'm guessing this is for agriculture, processing harvest with less manpower or faster work before rain ruins a crop

Yet again the isekai japan man goes to a sudomedeval world so he can introduce technology they should realistically have known about for thousands of years. Admittedly I'm about as far from an expert on the history of waterwheels as anyone else here but with a quick search I found this.
The earliest known version of the water wheel comes from mid-4th century BC Mesopotamia, a horizontal, propeller-like contraption that was used to turn millstones for grinding flour. It proved to be effective and the design was caught on in southern Europe and China.

The basic mechanism of the water wheel spread across much of the Old World (Eurasia and Africa) and took on several different forms, but the core concept remained the same. As the water mill was refined further, its energy efficiency rose.

Also it looks like the earliest known use of water wheels for powering machinery dates back to around 400BC.
I'd be fine with all of this if this waterwheel was just more advanced than the ones this world already had but I doubt that that's what they'll go with. I assume that it's the first one this world has ever seen so that MC can be praised as the greatest mind their world has ever seen.

Also, I won't harp on about this to much because it's just the artist not putting much thought into the background visuals but the gears connected to the wheel don't fit each other at all and even if they did there's no way they could handle the forces put on them by a waterwheel of that size.

At least it's not a case of a Japanese person introducing the 'Definitely not Europeans' to soap, or the concept of bathing.
I've also seen enough isekai people introducing beauty products, so I appreciate that it's something new (or newish, as there's nothing new under the sun when it comes to isekai tropes).

To be fair I hope the Japanese will successfully introduce the concept of bathing to the 'definitely not europeans' of our world.

I know at least one other that introduced the waterwheel, I forget what it's called. It was the one where a guy wins the lottery, finds a tunnel to another world in an old house and goes back to the japan to buy them food and other tech to help them prepare for war.

Roman with their shared shit stick could produce something better than this isekai world, but hey it just Japs having a harmless guilty pleasure ice cream. Let them be. The last time they did it third of Asia toasted.

Takarakuji de 40-oku Atatta ndakedo Isekai ni Ijuu Suru
It's another "weirdly no one figured out this tech" kind of manga, but mc is kinda dumb.

this is probably why its still present in isekai, just go to cons, i hear in western countries the stench is awful, here its like a gacha game in parts of asia, tho there's ac everywhere and you get publicly shamed for being stinky so people tend to be more mindful of their odor
