welp, I'm now confused. Why is "Friend" here? We've established that he likes to be close to the action (the stunt he pulled on top of the monument on December 31, 2000), but this seems a little... personal? Doesn't he have better things to be doing? They're cultivating Kanna for something, obviously, but whatever this is about seems a little too mysterious to be reasonable.
