Well, I guess cats wouldn't care all that much if some dumbass human wants to get in a cat fursuit on a 90F (32C) day.

Though Did You Know (TM) Japan actually has refrigerated mascot suits that circulate chilled liquid through the 'skin'? But a mere Shopping District Mascot ain't gonna be able to afford that.

Claw trimming would be tedious even if talking thru it versus putting them on a cat scratcher and dull their nails over time lol

I would think "cat events" would be the norm unless it's splurging on some extra nice cat beds or so vs a lottery to win something as an extra

I wonder if they go the extra mile and make a fur suit of shed cat fur

Do the cats know how to use a toilet? Cleaning a litter box for a talking cat would be weird.

i mean i think they'd make eye contact either way/prolly troll you even more. tho there is all those posts like "My dog/cat joins me in the bathroom" (apparently it's a 'protective instinct' or so b/c you're vulnerable)

tho those vids of cats using human toilets is pretty interesting

My bet is that a claw trimming chap is gonna happen eventually.

Cats are quick to forgive us for those small transgressions. Like trimming their nails, cleaning their ears and brushing all of their loose fur.
Truly cats are magnanimous like the budha. We should strive to be more like cats.
If only work wasn't a thing... at least i do my part by sleeping most of the day during holidays.

I don't think it's imposible to have some ventilation, though even the fan cooled vest i got in Akihabara put me back in 200 usd...
Also, does Okachimachi quality as a shoutengai ? It has those arches in the main street though.
There was this huge one in Kyoto that was literally like an old school mall, under ceiling rows of streets with all kinds of goodies and specialty shops. There was even one with wooden carved shinto and buddist statues where you could see the masters carving them right there. Pretty nice.

Oops, I've fixed a speech bubble on page 10 caused by the Photoshop Text Grabbing Problem.1767985044538.png
The what? Well it's the most annoying bit of Photoshop to me. You hover your mouse over a text box to grab and drag it to where you want, PS lights it up blue which should mean 'this is selected', but as soon as you left click and drag PS decides 'OH you actually wanted the background BEHIND the text' and selects that and you end up dragging the whole damn page (the original page without redraws or just the redraws!) and have to hit ctrl-z to back it out. And then you forget what you were doing OR you accidentally hit ctrl-z two times and lose a text move you actually wanted. Okay, I guess it's a pretty minor complaint. And then the proofreading should catch it but Mistakes Were Made.

The Ameya-Yokocho part of Okachimachi totally qualifies. And the big covered one in Kyoto is the Sanjokai, maybe that was it?

Note, there are some web pages that claim shoutengai are always covered, or it means covered street, which is totally wrong. They can be covered, or, like in this chapter, can be open air. The kanji 商店街 just means 'small shop district/street'!
