There's some interesting little details here, like that ghost-girl here may be starting to get the ghost-equivalent to dementia and be beginning to forget important people. There's also the nod that to see certain ghosts, you may have to be intimately tied to them.

The biggest mystery I think is that the two childhood friends don't mention ever hearing about nor seeing a fire and none of three have any memories of one another...Hmmm...

I think the ESPer loli may know more than she's letting on, and there's something uncanny about the circumstances around here...

The page where they arrive at his door and meet Nico provides a lot of information.

Hiyoko doesn't react in any way, hinting that she's used to seeing Nico and most likely has done her own research on ghost phenomena, including details like them only being visible to people who are intimately related to them.

Nico herself not remembering them until this chapter might be a hint that her time is running out and she's starting to fade away. It's important to remember that ghosts are restless entities bound to the mortal realm due to some factor that prevents them from moving on, such as dissatisfaction or grief over unsettled matters in their lives. Nico seems to be feeling more and more content seeing Tsugumi grow with every chapter, which is the matter she wanted to settle, until she's finally ready to go.

I can also imagine that if hiyoko spent any amount of time with niko she would just hear her gushing about tsugumi so that is probably why she remembered him. Obviously though that only counts for when he was younger so maybe that info doesn't matter at all.

It's a bit strange for Tsugumi not remembering Hiyoko and Kouta, maybe he was too young or didn't go out much...

Hiyoko having sixth sense, mentioning he might not see other ghosts, maybe Tsugumi is a ghost himself?
