Honestly I prefer Veronica with shorter hair. Hajime on the other hand looks like a stereotypical Japanese fantasy bandit.
I’m happy she’s sticking around, but I wish she would stop immediately resorting to violence when Hajime is just being Hajime (that’s what makes me dislike her at those times and it’s more annoying than funny). She’s known him the longest and at this point she be happy when he gives her his own souvenir (in ADDITION to the one he got advice on to make sure she liked it), instead of getting mad and stabbing him in the head with it stabbing him in the (really what more can you ask for? He got you a gift after acknowledging that he’s terrible at understanding other people’s taste and asking for help, and then he got a gift he picked out on his own). I can’t blame her for losing her mind laughing this chapter though. Really Veronica is probably my favorite potential love interest for Hajime (and I love the moments when she’s helping raise Lily like a daughter), I just wish she’d be more understanding towards him and not so antagonistic every five seconds (I mean he doesn’t help much himself, but he’s also a person that has to be met halfway and MADE to see someone else as a romantic partner).
@ginongo What I don’t understand is why they aren’t training her at night. You know when she has her adult body and full succubus powers? It seems to me that fighting in that state would maximize her potential AND has the bonus effect of training her how to use her adult body before she gets it (they could even train during the day and night in both bodies). I do think she’s had progress in terms of experience, knowledge, and allies (she got a party partner and tamed a “pet”), but not as much as I would like in skill, humility, or discipline (though on a certain level I’m happy to see a kid act like a kid and just enjoy life). Honestly it’s probably just with how this genre usually is (you know the 9 year old becoming stupid op in under a year or just instantly skipping to being 15 when they are stupid op), that’s throwing me off. I keep forgetting this series is on the more light hearted, comedy, slice of life side.
