@Julian117 I seem to recall this exact scenario being an important plot point in a manga or three. Either the MC is the older concubine's kid, and their younger sibling is a right twat (or the inverse is true) or this is what leads to a succession issue with royal NPCs.

My point is exactly the same. If A king has many children with different wives and concubines then eventually there is going to be huge infighting after the king dies. With some lords not liking how the first prince is rulling kingdom is going to get assassinated or replaced with another who might he more suited.

Either way, this is like a snowball rolling down the hill into an avalanche for everyone involved.
