It was easy enough to follow. Loved how the MC went up and above out of his way to make sure he doesnt forget. Fuck her old friend betraying her like that, even as a test thats way too cruel

I wouldn't say it came out of nowhere. Whole theme of the manga is basically about the value of connection with people and being kind.
MC also highly valued his friendship with the god so it's not that surprising he would try looking into her some more. ESPECIALLY after learning that there is a possibility he could just one day loose that connection. It makes sense MC would remember old dude and ask for help

Btw What the old man has forgotten is his old ghost friends, not the MC. Loose the spirit sense and you loose most of your memories with/of them.

Im usually not a fan of time skips, but I think this fits great for this manga. Putting us readers in her shoes where she perceive time differently. All those years the MC grew up to be a working adult flash by in a blink of a chapter for her

Can't really call it foreshadowing given it directly followed each other but it's not exactly difficult to understand what happened.

I think you misunderstood something. MC is clearly still in high school. The time of death of the girl in the photo matches what the black-hair girl said last time. He wears the same tie from his high school uniform when he meets the old dude. When he thinks about his "current life" on page 8 that's high school too. I see nothing else suggesting a time skip either.
