Hey, sorry if I sounded patronizing or whatever: I sort of learned English reading manga, sometimes I don't get rhethorical questions if they're not phrased clearly, or I use "clearly" improperly.

Yeah, I agree on both fronts. But the fact Nie Lie will forgive her doesn't mean readers must do the same.
About the fact that Ziyun is little more than a child, well, from our POV it's true; but in this setting, children are supposed to grow faster, since, like in our world not too much years ago, they have reponsibilities and they enter society sooner than us. So it is an excuse not completely valid, in my opinion.
