@GoblinGuy
Never read impo, have no plans to read it, so I can't confirm or debunk you claims.
Have read some karate shoukoushi thou.
"weak japanese kid becomes karate champion, largely because they realize he's flexible and he can use that for extreme moves which I'd call a powerup.
So a character using pre-existing talents is considered a power-up to you? RED FLAG!!! RED FLAG!!! RED FLAG!!!
also, how can he be a 'average' or 'plain' if used skills(that he already had) to use moves that only he could pull off despite being relatively new? That sounds like he has talent. That doesn't sound like average that sounds like someone special. I also love how you magically skip over the entire progression of the manga you list. One second they're pissing their pants to small-time thugs the next, they're beating the strongest guys in the verse. No training. No loses. Nothing apparently. If you're going to be misinterpret stuff to make you point look more valid then it actuall is, at least be a little subtle about it lol.
"Then we have the almost the entire isekai genre" wow goblin! You really bested me there! I can't refute your 'argument' at all. It's ROCK SOLID!!! You've really woke up and help me relize something mind blowing.
All anime and manga are isekai's!!!
How did I not realize this!?!? How has no one realized this!?!? It makes so much sense!!!
The tropes of one genre represent all genre's!!!
Clearly you're one of modern times greatest minds!
Hey! On the down low thou, can you tell me when you're going to reveal the cure to cancer that you've been hiding out of fear of the cemotherapy industry assassinating you? I'll promise I won't tell. For real.
"In a sense" lol
"The same is true for most romcom manga, although there the powerup is that they become more romantically interesting over time"
So, character development? You're really sending of some red flags bro. I'm starting to wonder if you really have any idea what a 'power-up' even is. A characters mental state and thinking process changing over time is not a power-up, it's character development. Plain and simple.
You know, shit like this and character's using talents being consider as power-ups by you is starting to really make me realize that my first comment was dead on the money. Starting to make me realize that i seriously wasted time writing a book for you.
"You'd be dumb" right on the money miguy, reading your comment has really made me realize that I should have never started this to begin with lol.
I'm not even going to paraphrase that other paragraph, it's so bad, I don't want to curse my phone by typing it.
I don't where you got the idea that scaling already powerfull character's mean that they'll reach dbz levels of crazy, because apparently the potency of power-ups come at a predetermined rate that I'm guessing you only know, right?
Small power-up?
Medium power-up?
Large power-up?
Fuck that shit! Just give everybody the same amount! Because that makes sense.
Author intentionally making a character 'plain' in order for the reader to put their selves in their shoes more easily? Fuck that! They make them plain because they want to shove them full of power-up so they can progress through the story. ignore that being plain has no correlation to actual power or that even a special person could also get a power-up(they're actually more likely to get one then a plain guy would).Because that makes sense.
"I could keep listing shit" ooooooh shit!!!, holy shit!!!, it all makes so much sense. You never once proving your point, your comment as a whole it, all makes sense now!
Look bro, I don't need you to splatter fecal matter in front of my screen. I need you to prove your point with actual evidence or a least an actual argument to support your claim. Like shit dude, I thought you were serious.
It's been a clean minute since I've seen some post a comment that literally said nothing and try to act they did. This is bringing me back to the days of the warzone that was google+.
"I already put too much effort" its depressing to think that this took any lever of effort whatsoever. This you with any amount of effort? Damn, good luck dude.
Thank you for reading my shitty book
