Also, people like Ohma just fine it's moreso that it's funny to harsh on him considering how long we've gone without seeing him and that he got scrubbed by the Fang when he finally showed up again. We get chapter after chapter of cool fights with weirdos and interesting dudes, so Ohma by comparison isn't exactly setting the world on fire.

In this context, I'd say there is a subtle difference between "plain" and "generic".

Ohma is not plain, but he is generic.
