@Kathartes personally, I prefer this nonstop actions with significant moments like rei hits saw's jaw and saw slicing the flesh above rei's eye with his elbow, than "single" impactful moments that takes a lot of panel or even a whole chapter to explain that moment or move, then another couple of panels to explain its weakness,etc. etc. It makes the whole interaction so cheesy than realistic (in the manga sense of realism)

Kuroki Gensai is obviously the best fighter in C-block. Sure, he's up against Kiryu next, and the dude has the story with Ohma on his side, but Gensai's obviously a master of his art and he won't get surprised by Kiryu the way the chinese dude did. Both his prospective opponents, Kiryu and Rei, are glass cannons with extreme speed, meant to wreck unsuspecting foes. Gensai doesn't have gimmicks. He's just a god of martial arts. He will wreck both of them.

Huh.. I don't understand why everyone hates on Rei..
Sure, he falls into the catagory of "too cool for school", like Sasuke.. but please, this guy isn't AS bad as Sasuke on that front.

And then the love for Saw... But maybe I am the only one that also hates loud obnouxious loudmouth who has no restraint in their behavior and acts like a constant hinderance.
But maybe that is due to my experience that these kind of people tends to make the most unintentional damage to their surrounding.
Since they don't think of their surrounding, at all. Hence why they can scream without a care who might be bothered.

And I'm sorry, I like the fact that Saw lost.
I would be pretty pissed if the author would just drop in a 'tragic reason' for him to win, just to make him more "endearing".
So if he won, that would be such a coupout.
Giving the "power of love can overcome anything" to an immature guy that has never actually showned concern for others before.... Yeah, seen that, never liked it...

The fastest way to solve everyone's problem is removing Hayami (the electric bastard), since all of his threatening haven't been carried out yet. Either via assassination, or let's him self-destruct with his own scheme (now he has lost all of his pawns in tournament, I go with the latter). Totally can see Chairman Katahara waiting him to make a scene for amusement.

Btw, there are so much hating on both sides ?
Hopefully we have more matches like Muteba vs. Seki, when both fighters are awesome af.

Funny thing is I actually LIKE characters such as Saw Pang, but i completely understand why others would hate that archetype because like u said they can be annoying as hell.

I find it idiotic how people act like Rei has done nothing but be an ass to everyone yet he has done NOTHING of the sort. Comeuppance? Comeuppance for what? Winning a fight fair and square?!

People hating on him forget that he has no idea what Saw Pang was even fighting for beyond money and for his boss. So only an idiot would act like he won with the intention of fucking up the village.

Ones reasons for trying to win are irrelevant here if they don't have the strength and skill to achieve that goal. Anyone going into this fight expecting the "good guy" to win simply because they were "the good guy" was just playing themselves
