Unlike the revived Koei style, Niko style has a complete system with extensive techniques, so there's no way it was created by one man in a single lifetime. There must be an origin somewhere, and Niko improved / modernized it to make his own style. Setsuna can learn from a practitioner of old style, or someone who created it together with Niko.

It might be due to the way the characters are portrayed in translation? I haven’t read/can’t understand the Vietnamese version but in this version Kuroki has the feel of a parent about to spank a naughty child. Does the Viet version make Setsuna more likeable?

@monkey123 is called plot armor because he is the main antagonist, he has no merit, he just obsessively got strong so that the maincharacter would kill him after he pisses him off, that's evil for the sake of just being evil 101.

@Heroroar, I mean, I'm not sympatic to Setsuna just cause his motivation is shallow, no reason behid his deeds, all that he's done was enforsed on him from his parents and etc, doesn't make him for good antagonist at all.
