You know, there was that one time an MMA champion tried to out box Mayweather.
On a side note, what's with everyone calling "plot armor" all the time. Is it really such a stretch that the guy hyped up to be the strongest fighter really is just that? We have barely scratched the surface of what the Fang is capable of, him ending up winning is by no means a stretch in any way. Just because your favorite character doesn't win doesn't mean the other guy only won through "plot armor". That being said the Fang isn't the most interesting character so far, but there is room to improve that.
