Duan Jian is a unique case, not only was his family killed, he was hidden in the prison of one of the most powerful clans of the prison realm. To know about him, the sacred family would need to have unrestricted access to it, and good political contacts, which couldn't be possible or they would've taken over the city long ago.

At this point the Sacred family still believe City Lord is dead from the assassination, right? I wonder if Ni Lie is going to bait them into attacking by announcing City Lord's death. Like he tells everyone, and then they make their move to claim the city?
Or perhaps he's going to reveal the City Lord is alive and well and there was an assassination attempt made on him which was orchestrated by the Sacred family. I'm not sure how he would be able to prove it without that little bastard that tried to kill the City Lord, though. He could also reveal any tangible evidence they've obtained about the Sacred family's collusion with the Dark Guild, which could be why the Leader of the Covert unit is in attendance.

So many possibilities! I'm looking forward to the next few chapters. To be honest I like this series significantly more when they release two at once. It just feels like it flows better even if we have to wait a little bit.
