@Vigo_to_Vigo Isn't Beta a possible alpha, like vice-leader who takes things in charge when alpha is out, and otherwise shoulders the group? I always thought of it like that, but what do you mean when you say Beta? Because he seemed to be like that.
I'm a bit dissatisfied with this chapter though, I mean, what's with those Assassin's Creed type wolves? They come in pack, but attack only one after the other? And the only one who actually lands a bite on him, bites his hood? The MC was quite the retarded guy, but are maybe all living beings like that? Because wolves would encircle him and attack him all at once, immobilizing him and focus on his arms and legs first to weaken him, and then kill him. Yet they come one after the other, and bite at random... And let's not use the excuse that "they are monsters so they are different from animals", because everything indicates that those "monsters" are animals with their behavior. Going in packs, each different from one another, retreating when faced with a strong opponent, ect. And why exactly aren't they dodging his slashes? Because I'm pretty sure wolves, or any living being for what that matters, cares about living, and won't just mindlessly throw themselves on a pointy stick. Even dogs would mind someone swinging at them with a stick, so a sword? Especially when they've already seen three wolves get hacked in pieces in front of them. They aren't mindless robots.
And while speaking of this, when the heck did our MC suddenly turn into a swordmaster? I'm pretty sure anyone with reasonable strength can lift and swing a sword, and use it as a deadly weapon, you don't need training for that. But he's not against some homeless peasant, but fighting against wolves, that know of fighting and survival. That he can manage one, that's ok. He has great strength stat and as such, can manipulate his sword as lightly as a wooden stick, so that must be really dangerous. 2 to 3 wolves at the same time? Understandable. He already fought in dungeons and while he got injured and isn't a pro, he knows a bit how to fight and again, has an incredible strength that give him a great advantage.
But a pack of more than 10 wolves and he slays them all without getting so much as a scratch? I call bullsh*t on that one. How does he knows which one will be attacking and counters when they're all around him? Why are the wolves waiting for him to kill one of them and put himself back into stance before attacking him, and why are they coming one after the other?
Honestly, this chapter isn't believable at all. He doesn't even loot them, take their fangs or their bodies, and simply walks away once he kills them. I like this kind of manga with systems and so, and this one seems nice, but this is just too unbelievable. If someone has an idea to explain those things, I would be thankful if you replied and proposed it, because this seems stupid right now. Maybe I'm getting overly worked up for nothing though, and am simply not in the mood to read. Thanks for reading
