I don't blame the man. He's a mercenary, not a warrior! He ain't staking his skills and body on pride.

So they were fighting one eye vs one eye. Quite ironic.

Like Muteba said, he's fought enough monsters in this tournament. Can't spend your paycheck if you're dead.

This is completely in line with his character. Dude came to make some money and learn shit for his actual job. And Iwami, this ain't it.

Oh well, it was a good fight, coudn't predict Wakatsuki's lose of sight on right eye, tho he did great covering it. Sad that Muteba lost, one of the most intresting fighters. As always - Thanks to Hokuto no Gun for providing translations of this great manga!

Ooof. It makes sense from him, but I can't help but think that this is probably going to have been a contract violation, given how ruthless his employer is. Of course, since really only winning this tournament would have mattered, it might still make a lot of sense; even if he could manage to take this fight, there's no way in hell he'd be able to match off against the Fang (or, if some monster actually manages to best the Fang, that monster) while down an arm AND whatever other injuries he sustains in the rest of the fight.

Togo's gonna be pissed either way, though.

Muteba achieved enough. His fights were really great advertisements for himself and his skills as a mercenary, no reason to get injured more than this.

Even if he wins, he'd be taking more damage, and it would be doubtful that he could win the upcoming matches against other monsters

Expected outcome.
Good for Muteba though, we may see him in the upcoming manga.

As long as Muteba'd win, Togo could sub him out after the battle for the remaining two rounds. Muteba just doesn't give a shit, he cares more about his body and ability to keep doing his job afterwards.

Daaaamn crazy ending, really goes to show how much of a monster Julius was to take multiple blast cores and still put a beating on Wakatsuki

Exactly what I thought was about to happen, Muteba never came off as someone really putting much of a stock in these fights, unlike the rest. So when he thinks his limit is incoming, that's when he simply bails.

I called about Muteba's eyes being heat sensors but i dont think Wakatsuki can use the Blast Core again, unless he wanna broke his ankle

I think Muteba forfeited due to the device messing with his brain. Repeatedly he said he felt some sort of anomaly with is reflexes and instinct. Good call in my opinion. Completely unexpected though.

Well, I would too... In previous fight, you could almost sense when "that" strike was coming but this time he did it in less than a fraction of second AND after being unconscious... Fuck that, if you can't see it coming you can't avoid it.
