@RagnMunkeez I'm thinking the same cause if he's a beast tamer that means any beast isn't outside his range of taming provided he has the training he could tame up to a dragon possibly.
Should have replied with a fuck off when told to leave his equipment behind. It pisses me off more at the writer than at the character when they have something like that with no logic behind it.
This is the fault of the party and the dude. The party because they are unable to see his true potential. And the dude for getting to comfortable in the back instead of doing some research about his ability. There must be lots of useful animals for combat be it either poisonous, venomous or just straight up strong.
But then still, the party is made up of assholes soooo good riddance.
@Nisverah Except there is logic behind it; primarily, it establishes that the party is composed entirely of twatwaffles that deserve whatever grisly fate awaits them. And secondarily, it explains how the MC can be pretty experienced, but also have shit for gear or money.
Beyond that, say he does tell them to go fuck a bunch of rusty pokers... What happens when the four of them, with their combat oriented classes, decide they'd rather just wipe him from the face of the earth?
There's no indication of contribution and rewards in their party, with the information that was presented. Unless they specified the equipment was on loan, or that it wasn't given to him, it belonged to him and they wouldn't have a say over him handing it over or not.
@Anitvenomz that's it. As long as he has training and experience. I bet this is a hero party that is halfway through their adventure, but it's from that halfway point on that they will need unconventional abilities which probably include beast taming.
It's like in video games where people focus on the party members that can deal high damage, but halfway through the game they run into enemies that can negate that damage. And the only party member that can have an advantage in that situation has been ignored and neglected. Or removed from the team. Now force is the only way forward, but that isn't enough.
I'd love if the beast tamer tames a beast that kicks their ass after they get beat down.
