Trying to fight either of them in a war setting would be a strategic nightmare, especially for the latter depending on how "necromancy" works in this fantasy setting.
Depending on the author's choice, necromancy potentially has the ability to turn any enemy army's number advantage into a snowballing disadvantage similar to a zombie apocalypse in a population dense environment: every single troop has the potential to "switch sides" and become the necromancer's troop.
