Yeah, but the focus in this chapter quint wise is Miku Nakano. After first time reading this chapter, my first impression of it is that the date is very one-sided.
So when I go to the 5Toubun subreddit and it is filled with Miku fans being all confident and putting out "endgame" memes all over, I find myself very puzzled. Did I miss something. As I said from the very beginning, my interest in this manga is how one of the quints will be able make herself a romantic partner to Fuu. What does Fuu not have that one of quints will be able to offer him to improve his life? His main priority is his family, then the quints graduating.
Personally, I think Miku's appeal come from her character design. But her sisters also have appealing character designs. Perhaps it's her demeanour. She's like a kitten or a puppy because of her shyness and low self-esteem, but others would see this lack of confidence frustrating and even unattractive.
She was cool and collective earlier in the manga but her development of love towards Fuu rid her of that. Finally, she works hard... in what she thinks will make Fuu see her in a romantic light. But so does her sisters. For example, Ichika out preformed Miku academically while working, and the others aren't too shabby either in terms of their work ethic. If Miku's relying on Fuu's preferences earlier in the manga, then Nino already has the advantage. Without even trying, Nino fulfills all of Fuu's romantic preferences. I mean, was he even serious when he made that list? or he just did that list spontaneously out of nowhere?
Anyways, if Negi wants Miku to win, and also make it more compelling, there should be more Miku centric chapters in the future cause right now being like an adorable kitten because of her self-esteem issues and trying to learn how to cook is severely lacking character wise to make her a compelling character to end up with Fuu.
Unless of course Negi dosen't mind making an underwhelming manga.
