@GuyFreakz We already know that Fuutarou wasnt in love with "rena" but rather appreciates her for being with him during his first trip. And taking his mind off of being a third wheel. Ichika probably hurt her chances the most by lying to him and pretending to be best girl (Miku). Itsuki and Ichika probably are currently lowest in the running if we don't count Yotsuba who is more platonic in her relationship with Fuutarou. The mangaka probably also wants Miku to win since she has been given the hardest time and the most development. If she loses there would probably be a riot and he'd get some death threats for having one of the other sisters win out of nowhere especially since the build up is towards Miku. If the build up was for another sister Miku would still be best girl but it'd be ok for someone else to win since that was the path of the story.

@Fusionxtras I think there is a little bit more to "Rena" then just her being there for him he kept a picture of her for 5 years and on chapter 79 when Raiha said that "Rena" was his first love he didn't protest that hard. Sure he appreciates her for being there for him but, I think that before he met "Rena" again he thought of her as someone special to him.

The question now is what will he do after he finds out Itsuki is Rena and that Ichika wasn't lying... kinda.

And please tell me the appeal in Miku, I'm not trying to argue or anything I genuinely want to know. I get she is cute and personally I do think she marries Fuu-kun, I do like her as a character as well but... IDK.

Oh and the Mangaka hasn't even chose a girl, he said he wants a satisfying ending for all so he is trying to do that. Most likely with a harem ending. Which I don't see how that works but, yea.

@takashiobatasan I commented this in the last chapter comment but... Look at the end of chapter 24 and the very last panel on left shes reading and email someone suggesting to her... "taking time off from school to concentrate on her acting career"... she did also mention the possibility too when she was locked in the storage with Fuutaro.

I think this will link with her saying this is there last trip/vacation together and Nino getting cut off asking if she meant... she's leaving. It would be dramatic. I would actually hate it because it sounds like we'd have to go through 10-20 chapters of a cliche she goes off and tries to forget, he realizes that she wasn't completely lying and that she was the one he spent the even with playing sevens and tries to go to her and find her while (i hope not) during her time away some new character comes into her life and she tries to forget Fuutaro by dating him... blah blah blah.

Well, I hope that doesn't happen... but the author doesn't leave loose strings like that in past chapters not to be connected later.

@takashiobatasan Interesting note on Chapter 79 and what his sister said... Early chapters I had the thought that whoever was Rena was gonna be the wife and it kind of killed my thought it was going to be Ichika when we find it was Ituski. But now that latest chapter shows Ichika was also Rena from 5 years ago, that really connects a lot of their moments together through all the arcs. Ichika has been fighting her feelings of love since practically first arc and author has let Ichika talk about her feelings through out compared to other sisters... so we'll see.

I like Miku a lot and she'd be my second choice because she's the typical quiet sweet character you want to see happy. But I think she's a character that show that she was able to grow and come out of her shell and confess... but she'll realize where Fuutaro's love really lies and will let go... and she goes on to be a chef. I like all the sisters but they are more side characters/stories. Last chapter they all seem to know who has the strongest feelings for Fuutaro... even Miku. So they will be happy for "big sis" at the end.

@donm527 That would be an ideal ending but, considering the possibility of a harem ending (FYI i'm definitely not rooting for that, but I'm not saying it wouldn't be satisfying either.) Ichika wouldn't be the wife and that would also imply that more character arcs are still to come.

A big example is what the eff is Yatsuba really thinking. I mean seriously I can't be the only one who's irritated by Yatsuba. I mean I love the mystic of characters that are hard to read but, damn Yatsuba is impossible and who would've guessed considering her care free-ness. I'm mainly talking about this face https://mangadex.org/chapter/535624/17 WTF!!

And another thing about Rena I thought it was very odd for Yatsuba to just be around after Rena left. I know it was Itsuki but what about the night before when there was rustling in the bushes? What was that, or should I say whom?
P.S. Ichika is best girl but, Nino follows very close behind.

@takashiobatasan If you look or google on the author, he's been interviewed and said there would be no harem ending even though people keep hoping for it. He also said that after drawing the Ichika cover, he had decided how many more volumes are left and that the story had turned a corner and I think he's going to focus on Fuutaros feelings. I personally guessing the 150 range max but earlier thought 12-13 volumes considering how he has done the covers.

Yotsuba... hmm... she could either be just a supporting side character the whole way through (that's what I believe personally) and last chapter as she said currently supporting Miku since she's the weak one and apologized to Ichika for not realizing her feelings... sounds like if she had feelings for Fuutaro she wouldn't have supported Miku so much??

Or... I did think maybe... maybe... she's hiding she that she also was rena 5 years ago. With last chapters Fuutaro did mention being dragged by the nose at night and shows walking at night and then you see the part where he's playing cards with Ichicka... BUT... it's not super clear that it was Ichika was the one that walked with him at night. I hated to bring that possibilty up but it is a thought.

I like Nino but her story starts when she found the pic (meaning she never met Fuutaro 5 years ago) and hasn't progressed. She confessed but I bet if she allowed him to respond he would have rejected her. Miku also no hint she met him 5 years ago otherwise I think she would have mentioned it. Yotsuba... possible that author is hiding it and would be the girl walking in the evening with Fuutaro if not Itsuki or Ichika.

@donm527 Thanks for the clear up of the harem thing to be honest though, I just didn't want to look at anything of the author until the manga ends. I just have a habit of doing that and I get a different feel for the story. So that harem thing I heard was just more of a rumor of hopes from people on the internet.

But, I suppose to be really blunt and follow up on that cliche moment 5 years ago it's possible he met all of them. But, their length in time upon meeting them would have been shorter or longer, considering their memory. But, that seems very unlikely.

And as for the girl in the night We would know for sure that it's not Ichika regarding the time... What chapter is that on I want to look back on that moment.

And considering the length and the fast paced story writing (which by the way is the reason shy this manga is so very very amazing, no stalling unlike other harems.) If another character ark is going to come it's going to come soon possibly after Ichika "leaves." Or maybe Ichika sees another confession moment, like what she witnessed with Nino, then from there decides to once again "leave."

Another thing I wanted to bring up considering the moment with the bell, that should be the sister that marries Fuu-kun, right ? who do you think that was?

@takashiobatasan That's cool, I can understand not wanting to look into the author like news or twitter in case of spoilers if you're one to avoid them.

There is a chance the author could introduce more memories to show other sisters clearly saw him 5 years ago... maybe after Itsuki told the sisters she spent the day with a boy it could have led to all the girls taking turns seeing who this boy was. But again I doubt it... maybe.

The sister walking with Fuutaro in the evening... Chapter 83... it was Fuutaro telling Ichika his memory of his trip in elementary and spending day with Rena. It was also how he tripped up Ichika when he asked if she remembered buying the charms together.

Re-reading it... it could be him telling Ichika of his day with Itsuki and being led by the nose by her until it got dark... and then he separates from Itsuki, she tells the sisters of her day and that Fuutaro is still in the lounge... and then it's Ichika showing up and spending the evening playing cards. So maybe there wasn't a separate evening event but Itsuki spending all day wandering until it got late into the evening. Yeah, I'm gonna add Yotsuba to the list of 3 that didn't see Fuutaro back then... for now.

Chapter 85 confirms Ichika saw him when she'd going through the flashback of seeing him in the banquet room, playing sevens, a flashback to the test of courage seeing Fuutaro with white hair (I think first time realizing he was that boy), and then confessing to herself even if it was that short time that evening that (she) came to love (him). That personal confession to me is super deep compared to all the other sisters and connects a lot of the feels the two of them had through all the arcs. So that's why I really feel it's Ichika... Can't see the author sinking such a deep love for Fuutaro

There are still holes that need to be filled... like the bell as you mentioned. That will be another piece that may clear things up hopefully soon.

@donm527 I feel the same about Ichika but, for some reason i have a feeling that Miku marries him. I don't know why but, It might have been the vibe that the future bride gives me.

And another thing I don't feel like the other sister's love for Fuu is fake but, it does definitely seem rushed. Kinda like a love at first sight thing. But, with even less reasons. Especially Itsuki.... Like c'mon just because Fuu is being distant to the thought of Rena doesn't mean she has to be so bound-set on messing with him.

It really makes itsuki's image become selfish to me. But, I guess it did make sense when Ichika said (I think it was Ichika) it doesn't matter who loved him the longest.

Oh and should we like block this info or something it's kinda like spoilers right? hahahahhahahahha

@takashiobatasan I don't really see any spoiler info except for what I said about the author saying he doesn't plan to make it a harem ending. I mean I don't know how people could think it anyway because, and he did say it too, he purposely started the manga with the wedding scene for that reason... so... It's not a spoiler... just people didn't want to accept what he was showing from the beginning.

I don't feel like any of the other's sisters feelings for Fuutaro is fake... but if it's really that deep that it goes beyond what is really a deep crush. I think Miku's feeling are very deep... she fell in love because he was persistent in getting her to study and it touched her to see, after feeling he was lying, to see all the books in the library all checked out recently by Fuutaro to be able to answer any questions she had.

If these last arcs do focus on Fuutaros feelings and his deeper views on each sister, that will connect the past arcs and show which moments meant the most to him and I guess help sway the reader to whoever the author decides in the end is the bride. It will be fun to review in later chapters how on or off the mark we were.

But yeah, the end will be the end regardless. And this will definitely be marked as one of my favorites. I just need more manga to read I'm nearly burnt out with manga.

As far as disapperance and re-appearance chapter... looking at it... Rena disappeared and then Yotsuba appeared. But it looks like she was jogging with a friend because she only had a moment to speak to Fuutaro before her running mate told her not to stop and keep going. So it couldn'd have been her in the boat with Fuutaro and talking if she's been running with a friend right before that.

The rustling in the bush chapter... no thought for now like the bell scene and who that can be too.

The disappearance chapter though did make me think of a weird scenario if you want to listen... when Fuutaro asked what her name was, it looks like Itsuki made up the name for first time. It would sound like something she do not thinking she messed up using her moms name. So just a out of a blue I'm thinking... maybe Itsuki wasn't the first sister to meet... maybe Yotsuba was the first sister he met 5 years ago... But Itsuki knew of the girl from seeing his picture in beginning and showed up dressed like her... saying she tried to look like the girl from back then. Itsuki's reason was to tell him to go away. If not Ichika then could be Yotsuba that kissed him at the bell if she was the first girl he met. ugh. No, please be Ichika lol

But, also leaves one question how did Itsuki see the photo if Nino was the only one who saw?

@takashiobatasan Near the beginning of the story (Chapter 2, pg 26) Nino had drugged Fuutaro and Itsuki took him home. She was able to get his address by looking into student handbook that had the picture and so she was actually the first to see the picture. When he asked her if she saw the picture. I believed he even asked her if she saw the picture and she responded saying something like she didn't care.

@donm527 Ahhhhhh, that does make sense. Even if it didn't click then, when she heard about his past in the hospital it would've then. Nice, nice it does make sense but, that's selfish of her to come back after she said she will never see him again. I can't even figure out if she likes or liked him at all.

My mind is still wrapped up at who kissed him at the bell, and Itsuki liking Fuutaro now makes things even more complicated.

But, the only two who knew about Nino's plan to kiss Fuutaro, where Ichika and Nino. But, considering the way that the sister reacted before she kissed him, it had to be Nino. Or at least that is what I thought before I doubted myself 😂.
