Agreed. Especially since the use of the honorific is meant to show how unapproachable Komi-san is for the other characters. Honorifics are such a central element of Japanese social relations that convey tons of semi-untranslatable implications. Such as the idea of one teenager calling another teenager in the West "Mr./Ms." would be ridiculous, but calling one in Japan "-san" wouldn't be.
