Imagine just how much you need to overcome in order to set aside (if only momentarily) a deep-rooted phobia, just so you can make your friend happy and express your love.

Which ultimately is what a lot of this series is about: overcoming the fear of just about everything in order to reach out to someone. Glad the Prez is making some huge strides forward.
