@38484383 Incredible! By crossing their arms, one can attack while keeping their guard up! It's a perfect stratagem!

For anyone confused

Santa Claus, rendered as close as possible to English using legal Japanese sounds, is "sa n ta ku ro u su" (サンタクロース) (see https://jisho.org/word/%E3%82%B5%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BF%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AD%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B9)
This sounds very close to Thunder Cross: "sa n da a ku ro u su" (サンダークロース) (see the first page of the manga)

Even though they don't sound very alike to a native English speaker, to a Japanese speaker they're nearly identical.

lol, I guess it would be harder in general or non Christians or non Euro and or north americans. I love the left side of page 1, Ranga makes a cute Rudolf lol

The religious part can be described pretty easy and as to why december 25 was chosen for Jesus's birthday. Then the current trend is to spend fuck loads of money on gifts which is dumb cause appreciate and the special part goes down. Most important part is getting together with friends and family to enjoy eachother's company, have a great meal, have fun, give something special to the people you want. Then talk about Santa and more magical parts and weirder traditions. Christmas is complicated lol

@Bluedudu lol, you do know many celebrate Christmas without buying gifts. It feels good to give people stuff they want and to see their happy faces. Christmaas is also about getting together with family, having a great feast and a great time. Only one side of my family is religious, but christmas has always been about family for both sides. At most we did 15 or 20 buck secret Santa and got the kids some candy. We also get together with extended family and rent out a room at a restaraunt. We eat, we chat, do speeches as well as group singing where songs are religious or just Christmas jingles. Some years people would ask to come and join in with singing. Though you only get out as much as you put in and your family only puts in money instead of effort
