the whole premise was retarded right from the start. he fought a fucking DRAGON just to get access to the palace. and then he kissed them just to save them from their slumber. and as thanks they wanna kick him out for "defiling" them lmao. and then we needed a 15 chapter arc just to confirm that they trust him. like omfg! maybe trust him due to the great lengths he went through just to wake them? or that he didn't do anything while they were asleep? he could have presented them to his father or rape them or whatever the fuck.

but the drawings are nice, so i'll keep reading lol

Princess, back then: I can't believe he kissed us without our consent! Even if it to save us its still deplorable!

Princess, now: Oh no Sir Alec is drowned because trying to save me. I have no choice but to give mouth to mouth respiration- Oh...

They are insecure. Alex is a strange man with unknown motivation.

There are much more to the story than a simple sleeping curse.

they ARE aware of the fucking dragon AND the sleeping curse. by extension they ARE ALSO aware that he woke them up without doing anything to them. being 'insecure' doesn't mean that your basic brain functions cease to work - or rather it shouldn't.

Well, if we consider this as something similar to a visual novel, killing the dragon filled 8/10 hearts from them (they are kissing him waaaay to fast)

All he has to do is finish 1 or 2 more events and it's a target acquired :V

It's not like they are that bothered by the kisses either. They have their own reasons for acting this way which will be revealed in the next dozen chapters.

Minor spoiler: the country of MC was the cause of the curse.

I don't understand why you don't understand when it's been... fairly clear.
1: The dragon is a footnote because they never saw it and are relying on his testimony that he killed it. If he did, that means he's powerful, but that doesn't mean he's a good guy, so
2: They don't trust him, because all they know is that everyone in the kingdom is asleep and some strange dude from an unfriendly and shitty kingdom next door is there and said he woke them up, and complicating this is
3: He lied about how, because he didn't think they'd like it, but in lying about something so important and the first thing he did to them he gave them the first impression of someone super shady. But,
4: A good chunk of them do trust him, especially the first one he woke, because they can see his story as one that makes sense and have interacted enough with him to get his character.
5: The ones that don't trust him have characters that are naturally guarded, flighty, or disinterested. At this point, only the grounded and suspicious princess is openly worried about him while everyone else is either already working with him or doesn't really give a shit.

The argument that "why don't they trust him, he could've raped 'em all in their sleep" is the kind of brute force logic that can feel correct but just, like, ignores that not everyone is a brute and that manipulation and bad intentions don't have to be open. Waking the princesses to get them on your side with a story of bravery and kindness in order to control the kingdom after its freed is exactly the kind of plot someone used to stories of intrigue or who has a guarded personality would think of.

I figured something like that was going on, like, his father wanted to invade while the entire country is asleep, so hes clearly up to no good. And Alex has told us already his country has a pretty bad rep, which is also the reason the princesses dont trust him.

This is the perfect "turn brain off, enjoy stupid" manga.
Yes, it's stupid. We all know it's stupid. There are thousands of inconsistencies and Claire is best girl.

But let's keep riding this bull and see what happens!

what's STOPPING them from seeing a gigantic fucking dragon corpse as well as the environmental damage it caused?
also, they KNOW he woke them up and that he DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.
and why go through all the trouble of gaining their trust and risk failure anyway if you can just kidnap them while they're unconscious, lift the curse afterwards and use them as political bargaining chips?
none of this makes any sense and is way too risky as well as ignorant and stupid.
also, most of them distrusted him before going through a lot of unnecessary drama (the exact thing i complained about) which finally made SOME of them trust him.

even if they're not bothered about the kisses itself, all these shenanigans were unnecessary for the most part. they know they were asleep, they could easily check if he's actually killed a dragon and they know he could've kidnapped them or done worse.
and yes, seeing how the mc's father behaved, you could immediately tell he had conquest in mind (maybe even mentioned it - i forgot). so while the girls may be inherently wary of the neighboring kingdom's forces, all of the above things (especially allowing them to go free instead of kidnapping them) make no sense whatsoever if he wanted to harm them or even if he was indifferent to them. instead they showed that he genuinely wanted to help them.

but it's a shonen manga, which usually has a lot more bloated drama than its shojo counterpart, so i shouldn't be surprised.
