This alternate story turned out to be very cute, and changing the setting so that Kaguya is a child was a clever move in order to remove her as a potential love interest in the safest way. The fact that in the end she even acted as Hayasaca's wingman should in part compensate for for all the harassement she has to bear in the main series.
I wonder if we'll get another what if arc with Fujiwara or the author's intent was specifically to please Hayasaca's fanbase.

As a big Hayasaka fan, I love this AU, with even Kaguya supporting them, there is nothing to feel bad about too. This is easily the best AU introduced in this official doujin. I love the original manga a lot, and seeing a canon AU of Hayasaka x Shirogane warms my heart as well.

I love Emilia would've hurt me if I had seen Re Zero, but I can just substitute it for

@Lex79 I hope not, since even in the main story Hayasaka x Shirogane felt like a possibility if Kaguya didn't exist, while Fujiwara and Shirogane have 0 romantic tension between them.
@arstolas I think we have nearly caught up to the raws, I don't know about any more chapters in this universe yet, but the manga is still ongoing so who knows.
