With eye placed like this, it will be serious weakness (direct access to brain), smart move aiming there.

The OG Protag should have struggled more with that sword which he himself notes is heavier and longer than his usual. Like at least make him tank a hit as punishment for crying out loud. I'm fine with the MC power boost allowing him to kill it but when the only punishment is muscle exhaustion it feels way to free

I like that the Roy isn't a full saint who just wants to be buddies with the OG MC, it's kinda neat. Thanks for the TL!

He just needs to find his role, after all DPS works better with a tank.

honestly, what should have happened here is that, even though he was able to pierce the eye, he would be pushed back (momentum) and, even after removing the sword, he would either be unable to lift it above himself, or the cut would be too shallow to cut clean the monster's head. But I'm fine with what we got, even if everything gets shrugged-off as adrenaline/pushing himself the context was more important than the way the battle followed through.

Don't get me started there. While TLing i was like WTF how his kick didn't push him back and why was van able to kill it when the monster was so bulked. Still I managed to do the TL with so many SFX.

That was some really cool choreography

I'm not so sure.

Switching from a guard to a thrust was extremely ballsy and could've gotten him killed, but with the momentum of the charge it was a move that would not be hindered by the weight of the sword. From there, the beheading was a textbook motion without distractions, and is possible to do when technique is focused around using the weight of the blade rather than your own strength.
