she didn't fall in love with tanio, she fell in love with shogi. she still wants him dead, but now she plays shogi in a way that more resembles his playstyle. hachi one will probably be like "i don't like that way of shogi you're playing it like a killer" and fight her in the tournament. i'd suggest you go back and read that stuff because theres way more going on here than just "ntr"
