There's still the issue of "the blue spider lily" that turned muzan into a demon in the first place, and Shonen jump probably isn't all too eager to let go of its second most popular series, especially during the hard times we are in right now, so this probably isn't ending soon. That's why tanjiro is alive again with no injuries.

Honestly this whole time there was never any cliche Shonen tropes like fake out deaths and all that in this series, so Shonen jump is probably forcing the mangaka to keep going.

Some people are salty that Tanjiru was saved and stayed TRUE TO HIS CHARACTER when rejected eternal life and demon powers, he was, an honest good guy to the very end and I admire that!!! what the edgy people wanted was evil transformation and dark powers... I recommend getting out of here and go read bleach, black clover or tokyo ghoul, you'll get all the edge of the world there and characters won't give a fuck about the nature of their powers as long as they get stronger.

Seeing Michael Jackson practically begging to stay and clinging to life but getting rejected anyway (Tanjirou never doubted!!!) was satisfying, that fucker didn't deserve any better, from the start, he was a coward and he died like one too.

Author and SJ is totally going to milk this series. Tanjiro didn’t become a demon because he denied Muzan’s power but that doesn’t mean he won’t in the future. He still have remnant of Muzan in his blood. I don’t think Muzan died either, in a spiritual sense at least. It is like he is only trapped in Tanjiro’s subconscious at the end with him saying “don’t leave me here”.

@MadParadox well there was already an official statement that the manga it's reaching climax so at most, we have 2 or 4 more chapters left https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-04-26/demon-slayer-kimetsu-no-yaiba-manga-story-reaches-climax-with-next-chapter-on-may-11/.158967 they can end it here on a high note and get all the money they want from the anime or just keep going and ruin everything.

Muzan struggles were most likely him fighting the medicine he just got injected too (the one that cured Nezuko too) but he needed Tanjirou to resist as well so this is it... and when Muzan dies, all the remaining demons will most likely die too or return to being human, because they were all connected, so yeah.... this is it.

I think this is about alright as it is. I think the manga got a little too hyped up by the audience. In many aspects it's really just good and not phenomenal as it was hyped up to be. And that's really okay, not everything needs to be a complete masterpiece.

My only gripe at the end is that we still have no further detail to the process of how Muzan became a demon (wonder doctor with wonder drug is his beginning and his demise now that I think about it) and that Nezuko has been a damsel in distress from pretty much start to finish. Would have wanted more of her character to be shown during the story.

What are you even complaining about? The story is done. Even if Tanjiro stay a demon it should have end because there is no goal anymore - Nezuko is human and sun was conqured.

okay now lets wait in May 10 for the climax Jeez I can't believe we are just one chapter before the ending,the author wanted to finish faster but because it had big sales the publishers wanted more volumes so the author didnt had a choice but to drag it but damn is satiesfying seeing end instead going more than 10 years.

We're at the end boys! So glad the author wasn't forced into going along "tanjirou being next antagonist" path and is able to finish the series where it wants to be. While I liked the development, I am kinda curious as to why the author decided to write Tanjirou demon part when the whole debacle lasted around 3 chapters. Maybe to extend chapter/page count for volume efficiency?
