To be the one guy, but as a teenager, I did once collapse from a fever, so I know it can happen. I don't know that manga authors have seen or experienced it, but it matches up with the cliche. I felt crappy but functional, overexerted myself, and collapsed. I had to be helped back to the car, and when I got home, I slept for an hour, after which I felt good enough to walk around again. The fever broke the next day.

That's the thing, I accidentally burnt the shit out of it in the oven cuz I forgot to take it out. One of the most depressing days of my life, don't even really know what kind of bread I was trying to make, besides the fact it looked kinda like french bread and that my mother told me the recipe.

@Cursed_death these are not just any ordinary colds or fevers, these are manga-fevers. The plague of present day Japan, right after birthrate decline and covid. If you catch a manga-cold you are on the brink of death, you will casually loose your all your memory, do and say the weirdest of things and have lewd dreams usually involving furry animals or marriage phantasies. The only known cure so far is freshly made porridge, a good rub down of the other sex and a full night of sleep. Good thing is all known cases miraculously recovered after one day.
