My chest hurts after reading this.
I think on page 5, the Pillars and Genya were walking together towards , perhaps heaven, and Tamayo was walking in the opposite direction, to hell, it was really sad to see that as she kind of redeemed herself but she killed many people and has to accept her sins.
I think all of the remaining characters are acting strong and are actually not content with the price of victory. They have to do it for all those that sacrificed themselves to achieve this demon free world. They are determined to live with their chest high in this world possible because of all those who sacrificed themselves.
I felt that Sanemi and Giyu would have to lead very difficult lives if they live long because of all that they have lost. But since they got the mark they realize that they are going to be joining their friends soon enough(including Tanjirou). So it feels a little better that they will not have to live separately for long and will be reunited.
@Shade what you said really cheered me up. As much as I would have wanted this to go on forever, it is perhaps better that it ends here as Rengoku said.
@Ghostcake it is the same with me.
@Hekoo yeah the price had to be high. It
@Nameless Soldier your description of Tanjirou and his story was on point.
@Moyga I'm guessing that it was because he was more human than a demon. If I remember correctly, when Nezuko conquered the Sun she remembered Tanjirou's name and said something. I think it was their pure heart that was special that helped them conquer the Sun. All the other demons forget their humanity and go on killing people to satisfy their hunger. Nezuko did not need blood to survive unlike Tamayo and Yuushirou. I'm not very sure about it though.
Shinjurou yeah I bet Rengoku is happy too.
Rengoku and Tanjirou both lost an eye. His spirit was the best. The future has accompolished what Yorichi could not. Yorichi must be in peace now.
What a beautiful story. I am going to remember this forever. The author is brilliant. All those deaths were not futile. Thanks to everyone who worked on this.
