this would be the perfect point for this manga to get the "tragedy" tag, with Shin brutally murdering Lanka and offering her heart to Hitomi, as a proof of his eternal love
If the manga ended at that earth scene then, this would've been perfect! And why did that girl assume that he likes Lanka? Don't go assuming things on your own or he'll literally take it seriously!
Tbh all characters in this are dumb, and I’m good with it most of the time, but I do hope there will be some development that actually sticks for once.
"If only she wasn't a wolf, huh?"
Was the last of a bunch of nails he thoroughly nailed into his own coffin,
all within the short timespan since she asked for a minute.
You could also see her expression change throughout it all.
Frankly, she most likely would've answered favorably if not for him going on and on about another girl while waiting for her reply,
even going as far as that "if only.." about that other girl, with all that he said right then it's no wonder her expressions and mood changed so much..
And ending with her saying that.
For those that read the weirdly labelled "vol 1 ch 32.6"
Last but not least, Lanka was the one he started picturing before screaming no way when they asked him about his first love, so might not be much of a misunderstanding actually.
Edit: Thought I'd add that you're supposed to have read that chapter before starting on vol 2 since it's definitely part of vol 1, I still put the comment regarding it in spoilers incase anyone didn't because they thought it's a mis-type on volume number.
