I like reading scanlation releases as a form of "test driving" the series. If the story is good enough, then I'll support the author for sure; but admittedly, there are a lot of stinkers out there that aren't worth the buck. This is only my opinion, but if an author is so concerned about their unlicensed works being uploaded to a site like this, then they either are not confident that their commercial release version will sell well, or they have a stigma against "unprofessional" translations of their work. As far as I'm concerned, MangaDex is free advertisement for any series destined to go the licensed route.

No. Just don't. Split chapters are the worst thing since day one DLC and lootboxes. I don't give a fuck about how the publisher plan to milk a manga dry, chapters should be released whole.

@beregorn dude the author is not consistent on drawing the manga , that's why the chapter comes in part, it may even take 2 months for this chapter to get complete, the author is currently drawing other manga, I get this info by visiting his twitter account.
